SUP Lessons

SUP TECHNIQUE:

PaddleFit Tech 1 is our paddling technique class and your first step in learning proper technique. Learning proper technique is beneficial for many reasons including increased performance, injury prevention and enhancing your enjoyment of SUP. During the hour lesson you will learn proper paddling fundamentals. Our coach will introduce you to our technique progression and work with you to make the appropriate corrections to get you on the path to paddling better. No matter where you are on your SUP journey we will help you get on the path to paddling properly.

SUP FITNESS:

Here is your chance to get introduced to the world of PaddleFit and it's training program through our fun and challenging introductory fitness class. We will give you a taste of the many benefits of training on the water that includes: board skills, balance, endurance, strength and focus. Now is the time to start on your path to get on the water and achieve your training goals. This class is designed to be accommodating of all skill levels but participants must have some prior paddling experience.

About your PaddleFit Coach: SJ is a PaddleFit Core Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor Certified and Level 2 ASI qualified, and N2 SUP certified.

Time: 60 mins
Age: 12 and up
Fee: $99 or $125 with hire (30 days expiry)

SUP YOGA

Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Yoga. Cruise around the Milford Marina or tranquil Lake Inlets stopping for some beautiful Yoga stretches. There will be the option for more challenging yoga and balance poses if you dare. It's up to you if you want a gentle workout or some more strength and powerful poses and holds. The last 10 minutes is for relaxation on the boards finishing the session with a gentle paddle back to our meeting point to wake up our senses. Suitable for all levels and you don't need to be an experienced in Yoga or SUP. Must be able to swim.
Time: Session time is depending on tide for access into Marina. Allow 75 min.
Fee: Cost $30 pp (+$20 with hire)

Meeting points this season 17/18 are:
- Takapuna Beach - Boat Ramp
- or Henderson Park - Lake Pupuke (if conditions not great)
- or The Pumphouse - Lake Pupuke
- or Milford Beach - end of Craig Road
Location really depends on conditions on the day so you get the most enjoyable experience possible.  You will be notified the day before by email of location via the booking site.

What to wear: Sunscreen, Training gear/ swimmers - whatever you feel comfortable in. Best to wear a hat as sunglasses tend to fall in the water & of course a smile!
